Role Purpose

We are seeking a licensed Medical Doctor (MD) to lead market readiness initiatives for the introduction of breakthrough therapies in cardiometabolic health, with a special focus on obesity.

This strategic role will play a key part in raising awareness within medical and regulatory ecosystems, driving local clinical evidence generation, and designing impactful shaping strategies to support the adoption of innovative treatments.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a physician with solid academic credentials and proven experience in scientific innovation and medical affairs. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic point of reference for medical stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.

They will have a demonstrated ability to build value-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), anticipate access challenges, and support evidence-based decision-making to drive successful therapy launches.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion the recognition and treatment of obesity as a serious medical condition, engaging key stakeholders to shape a favorable healthcare and regulatory environment.
• Develop and implement tailored market-shaping strategies through medical education, stakeholder engagement, and scientific advocacy.
• Serve as a strategic link between global science and local execution, collaborating with regulatory agencies, scientific societies, and policy makers to ensure market readiness.
• Lead local clinical evidence generation in collaboration with global teams—supporting medical studies, investigator-initiated research, and data analysis to inform regulatory and policy decisions.
• Provide medical leadership throughout the pre-launch phase, including scientific positioning, internal training, and regulatory readiness.

Candidate Profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) with a valid license to practice in Chile.
• 3–5 years of experience in medical affairs or clinical research, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep understanding of the Chilean healthcare landscape and proven expertise in cardiometabolic health.
• Strong relationship-building capabilities with KOLs, regulatory bodies, and key decision-makers.
• Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
• Desirable: experience in product launches, knowledge of local and international regulatory environments (FDA/EMA), and involvement in clinical data generation.

Key Challenges

• Lead shaping and educational initiatives to ensure the healthcare ecosystem is prepared for upcoming product launches.
• Drive the development of local scientific evidence and facilitate advisory board activities.
• Act as a key liaison between global medical strategy and local market execution.
